FinIQ does not require users to create an account, register, or provide any personal information to access the quiz or any content on the platform. You can use FinIQ entirely anonymously.

1.2 Quiz Responses (Local Storage)

When you take the FinIQ Financial Intelligence Quiz, your answers are stored locally on your own device using your browser's localStorage feature. This data:

• Never leaves your device or is transmitted to our servers
• Is automatically cleared when you retake the quiz
• Can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser's site data
• Is not accessible to FinIQ, advertisers, or any third party

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

Like most websites, we may automatically collect certain technical information when you visit FinIQ, including:

• Referring website (how you arrived at FinIQ)

Advertising & Google AdX

FinIQ is supported by advertising revenue. We display advertisements through Google Ad Exchange (AdX) and Google AdSense on our pages. These advertisements help us keep the quiz and all content free for all users.

5.1 How Google Serves Ads

Google may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to FinIQ and other websites. This is known as interest-based or behavioural advertising.

5.2 Page-Level Targeting

We provide Google AdX with contextual information about our pages (e.g., "finance", "personal finance India", "investment") so that ads served are relevant to our content. This contextual targeting does not involve sharing your personal data.

Data Storage & Security

6.1 Server-Side Data

FinIQ collects minimal server-side data. Web server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) are retained for a maximum of 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes, then permanently deleted.

6.2 Local Storage (Browser)

Your quiz answers are stored in your browser's localStorage under the key finiq_answers. This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to FinIQ or any third party.

6.3 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect our website and any data passing through it:

• HTTPS encryption on all pages (SSL/TLS)
• Cloudflare DDoS protection and WAF (Web Application Firewall)
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Minimal data collection by design — we cannot breach data we do not hold

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect any data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection laws (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the following rights:

1. Right to Access: You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
2. Right to Correction: You can request correction of any inaccurate personal data.
3. Right to Deletion: You can request deletion of your personal data. Since we hold minimal data, your primary option is to clear your browser's localStorage and cookies.
4. Right to Object: You can object to the processing of your data for direct marketing or profiling purposes.
5. Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on consent as a legal basis, you can withdraw consent at any time.

Children's Privacy

FinIQ is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at privacy@finiq.in and we will take steps to delete such information.

Our content is educational in nature and designed primarily for adults and young adults (18+) who are beginning or continuing their financial education journey.
